“Artwork from across the United States, and from Italy, Canada and Abu Dhabi,” said show President Robert Meyer. The art was sorted into 13 different categories, using the same model as the Minnesota State Fair’s art show. So, anyone who checks out the art will see the use of many different media. “You’ll see oil painting, pastels, drawings, photographs, colored pencil work, fabrics of a lot of different types, sculpture, glass, and clay.” While there is something for everybody at this show, there is one piece in particular that stands out to Robert. “It’s a columbine flower. Everybody sees them, a lot of people don’t stop to take a look at the details of the flower, let alone the plant. But, if you look, it is carefully crafted to demonstrate a fine microscopic view, so it has become my favorite piece,” said Meyer. The show is open for viewing anytime that City Hall is open to the public. The art will stay on display through March 30.
