Minnesota House District 31b – Local Decision 2026

In 2026, voters will elect someone to serve as State Represenative for District 31b. The candidates are:

About:

I’m a wife and working mom, and I’m running to represent Minnesota House District 31B.

As a Millennial, I’ve watched everyone I grew up with struggle to survive through crushing student debt, inflated housing costs, depressed wages, and rising costs for our basic needs. I’ve watched that struggle spread to everyone in my community.

I hoped someone would step up and fix it. The time just wasn’t right for me to do it, between raising a two-year old and working a full-time job, I’m out here just trying to survive – like everyone else.

But the time will never be right. No one is coming to save us, but us.

That’s why I’m running. I’m running for all of the people who would change things for the better, if they only had the chance. I’m running for my daughter, to leave her a better world. I’m running for my friends, family, and community – because they deserve better, and I want to do better, for them.

Important Issues:

Affordability
- Costs keep rising, and our wages struggle to keep up. Meanwhile, the same corporations who say they can’t afford to pay us a living wage boast about record profits. I want to stop the wealth gap from getting bigger so you can afford to thrive.
Transparency
- The people you elect to serve you shouldn’t keep secrets from you. You deserve to know what’s happening in your community. Politicians shouldn’t be able to hide behind a non-disclosure agreement while they make decisions that directly impact you and your neighbors.
Accountability
- When something goes wrong on my watch, I’ll take responsibility, and then fix it.

Goals if Elected:

Lowering costs
- I want to make it easier for farmers to sell their produce directly to the local community.
- I want to make sure no one loses their home because they can no longer afford their property taxes.
- I want everyone in Minnesota to have access to quality healthcare.
Protecting our privacy and communities
- I want to restrict the use of Flock cameras and automated license plate readers until we have strict regulations to protect your data.
- I want hyperscale AI data center lobbyists to answer to the communities they want to build in.
Supporting education at all levels
- I want every child to have access to quality education, regardless of the zip code they live in.
- I want everyone to be prepared to enter the job market with the skills they need, without saddling them with a lifetime of debt.
