prostitution of a developmentally delayed girl from Iowa.
The 17-year-old girl with Asperger’s Syndrome ran away from her Iowa home to come to St. Paul in January, to meet who she thought was a new boyfriend. When she arrived, Tyree Erik Jones, 18, and Bionca Mixon, 23, locked the girl from Des Moines in a downtown St. Paul hotel room for five days. Jones forced the girl to have sex with him and then posted an ad online offering her services for cash. Throughout her captivity, the girl was only fed one meal. According to the complaint, more than thirty men were solicited to come to the hotel room to pay to have sex with her, and both Mixon and Jones threatened to kill her if she were to call anyone or leave.
In addition to the year in the workhouse, Jones received a suspended sentence of forty-one months, which he could be forced to serve if he violates the terms of his 15 year probation. Jones will also be listed as a predatory offender for at least the next ten years.
The woman working with Jones has also pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting promotion of prostitution of a minor.
