ST. FRANCIS, Minn. – A Level 3 sex offender who has been living in Anoka County has been sent back to prison for violating his parole. Until about mid-June Robert Lee Ziemann had been living in Ham Lake. At that time he relocated to Saint Francis. Less than two weeks after his move, he was taken into custody when corrections officials found that he had an electronic device capable of accessing the internet.
One of the condition’s of Ziemann’s parole was that he not allowed to own or operate any device that is able to access the internet. This was the only violation of his parole, and authorities do not believe he committed any additional crimes. For this violation he was sentenced to 79 days in prison. Ziemann will remain under supervised release until 2015.
