But, in a few months wind chill will be replaced by fun in the sun as things heat up and summer eventually arrives.
That’s why next month the folks at Bunker Beach Water Park will soon be hiring people to work seasonal jobs.
If spending your days at Bunker Beach sounds appealing then there are plenty of positions at the park.
“All of our jobs will be posted on February 1st,” said Jake Seifert from Bunker Beach Water Park. “We’re looking for lifeguards, and hospitality – which does guest service and concessions. We’re looking for pool attendants. Those are the people on top of the slides telling people when to go down. We’re looking for maintenance. All those different areas we’re looking to hire over 200 individuals for this summer.”
Water fitness returns to Bunker Beach
Bunker Beach is going to continue to have water fitness classes, which have been popular the past few years.
“It’s great resistance training,” Seifert said.
People can walk with or against the lazy river current.
“I’ve done it myself a couple times,” Seifert said. “Walking against it will definitely get your heart rate up. Get your legs working. Have people with issues with their knees, it’s great for that.”
Bunker Beach’s picturesque setting makes it a popular water park.
“We’re in the middle of the woods,” Seifert said. “We’re in Bunker Hills Regional Park, at the very least you’re having a nice walk, either in the morning, or at the end of your day through the water. It’s a nice way to relax and also get a unique workout in.”
