It’s fast and easy to learn how to use our equipment to transfer your tapes for free! Just make an appointment by calling 763-231-2803 or e-mail eric@northmetrotv.com to get started. Transferring your tapes takes real time, so, if you have a two hour tape, it will take two hours to transfer. Feel free to bring a book or a magazine, otherwise just sit back and enjoy watching your old home movies! Our friendly and professional staff will be available throughout the process in case you have any questions.
You must provide your own blank DVDs. Our machines take DVD-R only. DVD+R discs will not work. Blank DVDs are available for purchase at the station for $1 apiece.
DIY Service available to residents of Blaine, Centerville, Circle Pines, Ham Lake, Lexington, Lino Lakes, and Spring Lake Park. The low-cost, paid option (detailed below) is available to everyone, regardless of city of residence.

We’re happy to transfer your video tapes to DVD for you. Make an appointment by calling 763-231-2803 or e-mail eric@northmetrotv.com to get started. We’ll make a time for you to drop your tapes off and our friendly and professional staff will answer any questions or concerns. We will also let you know how long the transfer is expected to take.
We charge $25 per tape to transfer to DVD or $30 per tape to transfer to digital. The fee includes complimentary discs. Discs shorter than 15 minutes in length are 50% 0ff!
Normally, each tape will be transferred to its own disc. Multiple discs can be transferred to the same disc for an additional fee of $5.00 per tape. The DVD has a six hour limit. Please note, increasing the DVD past the normal two hour limit will result in lower video resolution and such discs may be unable to play in some players.
This service is available to everyone.
OTHER SERVICES
Duplicate DVDs – $5 apiece
Custom DVD Chapters – $3 for the first chapter, $1 for each additional chapter per disc (also requires conversion to a digital file)
On Screen Titles – $3 for the first title, $1 for each additional title per disc (also requires conversion to a digital file)
Custom Printed DVD Label – $3 for text only per disc, $5 for a full color photograph per disc
