SCHOOLS TAKE TIME TO THANK BUS DRIVERS ON ANNUAL APPRECIATION DAY

NEW FIRE DISPATCH SYSTEM WORKED WELL IN FLEET FARM FIRE

A new system that dispatches fire trucks and other critical resources to emergencies worked well during a large fire in Blaine on February 17.   When part of the outdoor yard at the Fleet Farm store on Lexington Avenue caught fire, the system helped bring more firefighters quickly.

HAM LAKE CONSIDERS STRICTER CATALYTIC CONVERTER PENALTIES

Ham Lake is the first city in the area to consider an ordinance to crack down on catalytic converter thefts. The new ordinance would make it illegal to possess a converter without proof of ownership.

BLAINE MAYOR MAKES PITCH FOR FUNDING SAFETY ISSUES ON HIGHWAY 65

Mayor Tim Sanders told a House Transportation Committee how difficult it is for people to safely cross Highway 65 on foot.  The committee was looking at safety issues for pedestrians and bicyclists along highways across the state.
