The city of Lino Lakes is moving ahead with plans for hard court recreational facilities outside its newest fire station and water tower at the corner of Birch Street and Centerville Road.
FORMER LINO LAKES YMCA WILL BECOME A COVID VACCINATION SITE
The mayor said it would mean a three-month contract between the city and the state of Minnesota to provide the site for vaccinations. He said the contract would end by the end of June, and the site could be operational as soon as the end of next week.
BLAINE LEADERS HOPE CITY HALL IMPROVEMENTS MEAN BETTER SERVICE FOR RESIDENTS
City leaders two decades ago insisted on building a brand-new city hall then that included three levels. The third level has been left unfinished since the building opened in 2002, and that’s about to change. City Council this month approved a $4 million construction plan that should start in April and wrap up by the end of the year.
BIRCH STREET PROJECT COULD IMPROVE SAFETY AT RICE LAKE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN LINO LAKES
Principal Carlson says the new plan will offer a better flow to get cars bound for the school off of Birch Street faster. It will also have the impact of slowing down traffic, making it safer for kids walking and riding bikes.
