The City of Blaine is hiring seasonal workers for the Parks and Recreation Department and Public Works.

Many local high school students are back in class in person as school switches back from distance learning to hybrid modes.  Officials say the changes schools have been through in the past year because of the pandemic have prompted them to offer new options in the fall

Spring Lake Park has passed an ordinance to keep people from spending long periods of time on medians at busy intersections.  The new rule applies to busy highways like University Avenue and Highway 65 where pedestrian accidents are more than double the state average. 

Anoka County Commissioner Mandy Meisner will host a virtual town hall on in early March to discuss whether the county board should have a code of ethics in place.

Minnesotans with driver’s licenses or ID cards that expire as COVID-19 extensions end have the option to renew online or in person.

The Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office, a department and agency operated by Anoka County, is responsible for death investigations and autopsies for nearly 30 counties across the full breadth of the state of Minnesota and a handful of Wisconsin counties.

Free Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) COVID-19 saliva testing will be offered at the Anoka Armory, 408 E Main St, Anoka, noon to 6 p.m. over several dates from now until the middle of March.

Scouts say during these uncertain times, girls are going through high levels of isolation, and they say scouting can help.  So the Girl Scouts River Valleys of Minnesota and Wisconsin are waiving the $25 membership fee through the end of February.
