The Northstar Commuter Rail Line has seen a significant increase in ridership so far in 2013. Last month the line crossed the 3,000 boarding’s a day mark for the first time since the line became operational in late 2009.

Vehicle owners in Anoka County—rejoice: wheelage taxes are going down. The county has previously been collecting a $5 per year wheelage tax on vehicles, but has now repealed that tax for 2014.

Since 2010 no other suburb in the Twin Cities has grown more than Blaine. Blaine has gained more residents between 2010 and 2012 than any other suburb in the metro area.
