SENIOR SAFETY FAIR

Every spring, a few area cities team up to provide a day of safety education to seniors. There is always information to learn about aging, and how to stay safe with an aging body – physically, mentally, and financially.

An annual fundraiser held in Blaine is aiming to raise $100,000 for Lupus research. A local non-profit called the Lupus Research Foundation holds a curling tournament every May that brings in some of the top curlers in the world to help raise money for a cure.

The organization has spearheaded efforts to bring innovative spaces and STEM programming to the district. Now, they are embarking on a large scale plan to transform two key community assets.
