Continue reading...The Blaine City Council held a special meeting on August 31, 2023 where the only major agenda item was to vote on pulling school resource officers out of schools. Blaine officers worked in four schools across three districts, providing police in both high schools and middle schools.
But for now, that’s coming to an end.
Soon there will be a new roundabout in Blaine. Road construction crews got started on a project in August at the intersection of Baltimore Street and 99th Avenue just east of Minnesota Highway 65.
Continue reading...For the first time since 2017 Metro Transit has express service going to the Minnesota State Fair from Blaine. Fair-goers can hop on a bus at the Park and Ride on 95th Avenue NE and I-35W and go straight to the fairgrounds and not have to deal with parking or traffic hassles.
