Hy-Vee in Spring Lake Park is finally ready to open.

On May 28, bars and restaurants will be able to operate at full capacity for the first time in more than a year. One local restaurant owner says it’s a light at the end of the tunnel.

The City Council in Centerville received so many comments about three development projects, public hearings on all but one part of the proposals have been re-opened.

Street sweeping starts in the spring and runs through the full in Blaine. The sweepers pick up a variety of sticks, rocks, dirt and trash. A new piece of equipment in the city is not only making sorting this stuff easier, but it also lets some of the sweepings see a new life.
