IN PERSON DINING RESUMES – OUTDOORS

Many area restaurants were eager to get back to “in-person” dining, even if it meant doing it outdoors. Since March, they’ve either been closed or limited to take out because of restrictions due to COVID-19. Business leaders say it’s both an opportunity and a challenge.

GYMS WAIT FOR CLEARANCE TO OPEN

Many gyms had been busy preparing and putting new guidelines in place, thinking that they would be part of the June 1 openings. That didn’t happen, and they are still waiting for clearance to reopen.

BIKE SHOPS STRUGGLE TO FIND ENOUGH PRODUCT

Bicycling has seen a resurgence this spring. It gained popularity as a way to get outdoors during the coronavirus quarantine. So for bike shops, it’s a perfect storm of high demand and little supply, which sometimes left shortages of new bikes.
