(LINO LAKES) – Chomonix Golf Course, the county-owned golf course set amid park and nature preserve lands in Lino Lakes, will get a quarter-million-dollar boost as it tries to boost business.
Anoka County Commissioners earlier this month voted to spend $250,000 reserve funds to pay for upgrades at the clubhouse and on new equipment at the course, which nearly closed for good after a review of its business in recent years showed a sharp decline.
A fight by those who play the course and Lino Lakes city leaders helped save it–when the commissioners voted to keep Chomonix open for three more years.
