In 2024, the candidates for Minnesota House District 32B are:
About the candidate: I’m a lifelong Minnesotan who wants to help people survive and thrive in our great state, where I have lived my whole life. I graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with degrees in Criminology, Political Science, Music, International Studies, Philosophy, and Cognitive Science.
I currently attend Mitchell Hamline School of Law working towards my law degree (JD). I currently work for Anoka County Court Administration and have a variety of work experiences in both the public and private sectors, including work in manufacturing, private security, customer service, and corrections. My range of work experiences gives me a great appreciation for working class Minnesotans and what their needs are. I also attended public school for K-12 as well as a public University, University of Minnesota Duluth, giving me a great perspective of our education system.
I decided to run because I have a history of serving my community and striving to make Minnesota a better place for everyone. Trust in our institutions is declining. I will renew that trust in Minnesota’s institutions. I will work for Minnesotans as a public servant, and not a career politician. I hope to bring more education, reform, and unity to the North Star State.
Important Issues: The top three issues for my voters are: the economy, education, and crime/ law enforcement. With the economy, people are concerned about rising prices, increased taxes, and the state’s reckless spending of the entire surplus while also increasing government spending by 40%. With education, people are concerned about student class sizes being too big and that students aren’t performing at grade level academically, specifically, that approximately 50% of students aren’t able to read or do math at grade level. With law enforcement, people are concerned that we are over 1000 officers down (10%) across the state. There is a lack of support for our law enforcement, and this is leading to less safe communities.
Goals if Elected: I will increase funding to teachers and schools and remove unnecessary mandates in schools that are not actually promoting academic excellence and success to ensure educators feel supported and appreciated for the important and challenging job they do.
I will prioritize Minnesota businesses by lowering taxes, enacting pro-local business policies, and encouraging investments in local companies. I will work to pass bills that educate students in schools about trade careers to promote the strength of our working class.
I will remove all taxes from social security benefits, disability benefits, and any other supplemental income for elderly citizens and citizens with. I will also reduce taxes for all citizens to help drive prices back down and keep more money in people’s pockets.
Lastly, I will listen to local and state law enforcement to obtain information about renewing trust with local communities and supporting officers/police departments in providing safety.

Candidate Interview: Coming Soon.
About the candidate: I was born and raised here in the North Metro and am a proud Blaine resident. Almost two decades ago, I launched my career by spearheading an effort that reduced violent crime in my hometown by 40%. After earning my business degree and law degree from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, I spent most of my career working in the nonprofit sector. I worked for the Step Up internship program where I created hundreds of paid, professional internships for low-income high school students every summer. And just before getting elected to the Minnesota House, I served as the Policy Director at a statewide nonprofit for youth where I worked productively with Democrats and Republicans to pass several bills in bipartisan fashion.
I’m proud of the results I was able to deliver in my first term, including securing $102.75 million to fully fund the Highway 65 redesign, authoring $300 million in public safety aid for cities and counties, passing two property tax cuts, and boosting the funding for our public schools. I’m also proud that I was able to be a productive legislator while being in the Top 3 in the Minnesota House for bipartisan bills introduced.
Important Issues:
1. Making Life More Affordable
Let’s grow the middle class. One major way is by making child care, health care, and senior care more affordable and accessible. We must also make sure these workers can earn a living wage.
2. Making Our Neighborhoods Safer
Let’s support police with the tools they need and fund strategies that have proven to prevent crime, especially for youth.
3. Making Our Schools More Successful
Let’s promote student success by setting high standards and developing strong school leaders.
4. Making Our Environment Cleaner
Let’s protect our natural areas and stop big polluters to preserve the land, water, and air we value as Minnesotans.
5. Boosting Small Businesses
Let’s help the small businesses that drive our district’s economy thrive with more investment and lower costs.
Goals if Elected: My campaign is about “building bridges and getting results” because I think voters want leaders who can bring together people from different backgrounds to get things done.
I’m committed to listening to you, the voters of Blaine and Lexington, to respond to the issues most important to you. In my first term, I ended up authoring 84 bills. Approximately two-thirds of those bills that had co-authors had support from both Democrats and Republicans. I never imagined I’d author and pass as many bills as I did, but I like being a problem solver. So when constituents and other key stakeholders came to me, I went to work and got 34 of those bills passed into law, improving life here in the North Metro and across the state.
I look forward to continuing this responsive, problem-solving approach if I’m fortunate enough to get re-elected.
