ANOKA, Minn. – (Nov. 12, 2015) – Anoka County’s second brewery opened last week. 10k Brewing has spent the last year remodeling their space in downtown Anoka, planning, and even changing city laws.
“Parts of it were going to the city and changing zoning laws so that breweries, and tap rooms, and microbreweries could be allowed in this part of downtown Anoka, changing the liquor laws and making sure that we can manufacture and sell our beer on site, and doing Sunday Growler sales. So, my brother worked pretty closely with the city planner and city council to make that happen,” said Ashley Hauf, co-owner of 10K Brewing.
After more than a year of preparations, they finally opened their doors to the public last week, at a grand opening that brought out hundreds of people.
“Opening weekend was very successful, we had a line around the block. it was amazing to see such a crowd of people just flowing into this brewery and seeing it packed for the first time,” said co-owner of 10k Brewing, Jesse Hauf.
10k is open Wednesday through Saturday, and is named in honor of Minnesota, the land of 10 thousand lakes.
