HAM LAKE, Minn. – (Feb. 7, 2019) – Stacy C. Bauer is a teacher at McKinley Elementary in Ham Lake. She released her first children’s book last spring, and is getting ready to publish her second.
“The series I’m writing is called Cami Kangaroo and Wyatt too,” said Stacy Bauer. “Cami is my daughter and Wyatt is my son.”
Her first book, Cami Kangaroo Has Too Many Sweets, came out in May. It’s in bookstores, some local dentist offices, the Anoka County library, and selling well on Amazon.
“It was ranked about 9,000 last weekend out of 13,000,000 books.”
After the first book was released, she started working on the second in the series. Now, that book is ready for pre-orders. Stacy opened her Kickstarter campaign for the new book, Cami Kangaroo Has Too Much Stuff, this week.
“I’ve been writing since I was a kid,” said Bauer. “For me it’s not work, it’s fun.”
