BLAINE, Minn. – (June 18, 2015) – In just over a month, some of the greatest golfers of all time will again be in Blaine for the annual 3M Championship. The event is a regular stop on the Champions Tour and also includes a special Greats of Golf exhibition. Both the tournament itself and the greats of golf will have star studded fields.
Hollis Cavner, the 3M Championship Executive Director, stated, “We have the big three coming back,” referring to Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player.
Cavner also mentioned the Masters Champion and “unbelievably great guy,” Ian Woosnam will be in attendance along with two-time U.S. Open Champion, Lee Janzen. Fan favorites Tom Lehman, Bernhard Langer and Tom Watson will again be in Blaine to compete.
The 3M Championship donates more than one million dollars to charity every year. Carver expects this year to be the biggest ever and confirms, “We expect, again, record charity donations. We also expect record crowds for the weekend.”
The 2015 3M Championship takes place the week of July 27.
