“People aren’t calling us to book a vacation; they are calling us because they need some help. And we’re here to listen to them.” says Minda Garcia, the Director of Operations at the Allina Health Customer Experience Center.
Many of the roles in this building will be filled by existing Allina employees, moving in from other facilities as soon as July. But, they will also be hiring many new staff as they grow their workforce to nearly 500 employees.
Once it’s open, the Allina Health Customer Experience Center will work hard to create an environment that takes care of its employees, while also taking care of Allina patients.
“We want people to come here to enjoy their time in this building. A happy person is going to be more compassionate…able to listen better,” said Garcia.
Allina built a space that they hope creates happy employees. That means, once complete, this building will have a fitness center, a patio, private rooms for new moms to pump, and meditation rooms.
As they get closer to opening, Garcia thinks the employees are going to love the new space, since most call centers these employees are coming from are in basements.
“In my 13 years, this is the best facility that I’ve been in,” said Garcia. “This is so impressive.”
