BLAINE, Minn. – (March 29, 2018) – A scary scene unfolded on a Blaine roadway Monday night. A car ran a red light at the intersection of 109th and Highway 65 and struck an ambulance. The high speed collision caused the ambulance to tip onto its side.
The ambulance had four people inside at the time of the crash. Two crew members and also two individuals were being transported to a local hospital. The passengers were a 23-year-old woman and her three year old child. The four people in the ambulance and the 17-year-old driver of the car all suffered injuries in the crash, although none were life threatening.
The driver of the car that struck the ambulance received a misdemeanor citation.
