Most often, people think of the Animal Humane Society primarily as a place you can adopt a new pet, and while that’s true, it also does much more. “We are more than just a shelter. We have veterany services. We host over 100 training classes a week. We have a variety of youth classes,” said Sarah Bhimani with Animal Humane Society. During National Animal Shelter Week, there will be an open house at the Golden Valley location on Nov. 9 with shelter tours, training demonstrations and kids activities. As people visit the Animal Humane Society, Sarah wants people to get to know more about all the work it does, and also to think about donating to its cause. During the week, all donations made will be triple matched. RELATED LINKS:
But, of course, there are always pets that need homes too.
“We have a lot of animals, particularly adult dogs right now, that we really want to find homes for,” said Bhimani.
