ANOKA COUNTY – (March 22, 2018) – As Anoka County continues to grow in population, our roads are going to become busier and busier. The Anoka County Highway Department is in the process of planning the future of roadways in the county.
As a part of the county’s comprehensive plan, they are working on a 2040 Transportation Plan. The last transportation plan was updated in 2009. A Transportation Plan identifies the transportation system needs and also sets goals, priorities, and funding strategies to guide the County’s infrastructure investments.
There is an upcoming open house for residents to check out the draft transportation plan and give feedback. It will be held on March 28, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Bunker Lake Activity Center. You can learn more about the plan online.
