ANOKA COUNTY FAIR OFFERS FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

ANOKA, Minn.- (July 19, 2018)- Next Tuesday the Anoka County Fair will begin its six day run of fun events for residents. Some of the events taking place include motor cross, a tractor pull, bull riding, and demo derby.

According to the official website motor cross will begin the day the fair starts at 6 p.m., while the tractor pull will happen on that Thursday and Friday beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Bull riding will take place on that Wednesday with mutton busting for kids happening in between sets. For those that want to participant, registration for the free event is from 5-6 p.m. at the horse announcers stand. 12 riders will be drawn from the pool of registered names and 5 to 10-year-old participants who weigh under 75 pounds will be allowed to join. Your expected to bring your own helmet, and parents are required to sign a release waiver.

CherryGun, Shane Martin, Tripwire, and The Rolling Stoners will serve as the live entertainment for the fair. A carnival and plenty of competitive events for anyone in the family to join in will also be happening. Some of the contests include diaper derby, big wheel, and a talent contest.

Parents can bring their kids to partake in pony rides and learn how to milk a mechanical cow. Horses, cows, llamas and other animals will have their own shows throughout the week.

Finally, on Wednesday evening fairgoers can take a break from all the fun and enjoy a fireworks display. For more information about purchasing tickets visit here.
