BLAINE, Minn. – (Nov. 29, 2018) – Anoka County Library continued its 60th anniversary celebration with a diamond jubliee.
Library officials put on the party at Northtown Library in Blaine, complete with games, guest speakers, a chance to swap stories, and cake.
“There’s a transformative power of a good story, sharing a story with someone else has a magical thing to it, ” said Maggie Snow, Director of Anoka County Library “So it’s nice to be able to celebrate all of those on the staff who helped make the library what it is and the community members who help the library grow as well,
The Northtown Library opened in 1965 and the Centennial branch will re-open with a remodeled library next year.
