“This transition is going to connect our patrons to more resources,” said Anoka County Library Collections Manager Andrew Wylie. “We’ll have Hennepin County, Ramsey [County] contributing as well.”
You can start using Libby now, although not all the content is there yet. Once all of Anoka County’s material is there, library users will see a lot more titles available for check out.
“Anoka County, in a lot of ways, is to too small to purchase these small niche titles – especially in foreign languages, because they don’t see the circulation. But with this new partnership with MELSA, we’re able to leverage this.”
Holds will not carry over to the new app, so if you have a book on hold, you might also want to put it on hold in Libby. This will not change how you put a hold on physical books or materials.
