ANDOVER, Minn – (June 23, 2016) – The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office has a new K-9 team on the road.
Deputy Troy Edmond and his K-9 partner, “Nieko” have completed their extensive training program and have both began patrol duties. Nieko is an 18 month old German Shepard, and with Nieko duty ready the contingent of Anoka County Sheriff’s Office canines is back up to six.
“We routinely see the benefits that our K-9 teams can bring to our operations, and to the citizens that we proudly serve. I am proud of what Deputy Edmond and Nieko have accomplished so far, but the real tests lie ahead in their service to our communities. I know they will work hard to exceed expectations,” said Anoka County Sheriff James Stuart.
