SHOREVIEW – On May 8, 2020, members of the Anoka-Hennepin Narcotics and Violent Crimes Task Force executed a search warrant at an apartment in Shoreview. The search warrant stemmed from a months-long investigation. During the search, law enforcment located a large amount of methamphetamine and cocaine inside the apartment. In total, 111 pounds of meth and 3.5 pounds of cocaine were recovered in the residence. If sold as it was packaged, the narcotics would have had a street value of more than $615,000.
A 32-year-old man for Inver Grove Heights was located inside the apartment and was arrested. He has been charged in Ramsey County District Court with related controlled substance possession and sales charges and faces a maximun sentence of up to 40 years in prison.
The Anoka-Hennepin Narcotics and Violent Crimes Task Force was assisted by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the Ramsey County Violent Crimes Task Force, and the Drug Enforcment Administration.
