BLAINE, Minn. – (Aug. 20, 2015) – The Blaine airport is preparing to begin $370,000 worth of improvements at the tail-end of this year’s busy flying season. The 1800-acre airport will be making upgrades to their 20-year-old computer system as well as their taxiway lighting.
This undertaking is said to be one of the largest projects they have taken on in a long time and results from increased traffic at the airport, and a spike in interest for flight lessons.
Most of the funding for the upgrades will come from the Federal Aviation Administration and MnDOT.
