BLAINE, Minn. – (May 19, 2016) – For many years, Blaine has been closing in on Coon Rapids. According to the Met Council population estimates, Blaine has taken now taken over as the largest city in Anoka County with a population of 63,180.
Blaine’s population has grown by nearly 6,000 since the last census in 2010. The growth shows no signs of slowing down.
Blaine has issued 84 building permits so far in 2016, placing it 7th in the metro area.
Long range population forecast show Blaine eventually reaching 85,000 citizens.
