BLAINE, Minn. – (July 7, 2016) – Riley Tufte’s high school hockey career came to an end this year as he played his senior season for the Blaine Bengals. But, he still has plenty of hockey in front of him. Tufte was recently selected in the first round of the NHL draft by the Dallas Stars.
Before he heads to the NHL Tufte will play his college hockey at the University of Minnesota Duluth. In his final season at Blaine Tufte scored 49 goals and 85 total points. Tufte hopes to follow in the footsteps of friend and former Bengal Nick Bjugstad who now is a fixture in the lineup for the Florida Panthers.
