BLAINE – (Sept. 17, 2022) Residents of Blaine immersed themselves in cultures from around the world. The Worldfest event celebrates Blaine’s evolving cultural and ethnic demographics.
Worldfest is Blaine’s annual celebration of cultures from around the world, special performances were performed by groups representing their cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Their was also food trucks, games, learning booths and even some alpacas to pet.
“World Fest is an event that happens every year. We invite people out, it’s a free event. It’s a diversity event so we’d like to share it with everyone,” said Joy Handt, Parks and Recreation Manager.
The success of this cultural event has given rise to another annual event, Oktoberfest is coming to Blaine. On October 1, Blaine will be hosting a beer garden at Tom Ryan Park, residents can expect music and food.
