(BLAINE) – City leaders joined developers on a warm muggy day to break ground for what the group hopes will be a multi-faceted commercial development to bring jobs to the North Metro once it begins to open later this year.
Blaine 35 is the latest project by Wisconsin-based real estate developer Artis Reit.
The three-building campus spread across 30 acres at the intersection of County Road J and Interstate 35-W will eventually comprise 320,000 square feet of commercial space that developers say will be ideal for a variety of business needs.
“This will be a prime location,” said Blaine Community Development Director Erik Thorvig. “There’s a reason why Artis was so interested in this property; with access and visibility to 35W, it’s going to bring in a lot of good businesses that want to come to Blaine.”
Building A will begin construction and should be ready by this fall, with two more buildings to go up in 2022.
