BLAINE, Minn. (Oct. 31, 2013) — A Blaine man made over 22 visits to Target in just four months, allegedly all with the intent of stealing. According to the criminal complaint, 31-year-old Adam Johnson Dack has stolen or attempted theft at various Target stores throughout Anoka County.
Investigators caught Dack on surveillance video taking at least seven box DVD sets, five Dyson vacuums, four flat-screen TVs, and a surround sound system. Other videos revealed the man loading two flat-screen TVs and two additional Dyson vacuums into his vehicle, along with other merchandise. The total amount of merchandise stolen by Dack is estimated at $5,372. All of the robberies took place between June 10 – Sept. 18, 2013.
In addition to theft, Dack is also being charged with obstructing the legal process, receiving stolen property, and drug possession in the fifth degree. His bail is currently set at $15,000. If convicted, Dack’s theft charges carry up to 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
