BLAINE, Minn. – A man in Blaine was arrested following accusations that he took pornographic photographs of a six-year-old girl. The man, 61-year-old Mickey Dean Sims, has been charged with three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct as well as one count of using minors in pornographic work, and one count of possession of child pornography.
According to the criminal complaint, investigations on Sims began in January. The girl told her parents that Sims had asked her to remove her pants and touch herself while at a family gathering. She says Sims then took pictures of her on his cell phone. A search warrant of his phone uncovered multiple pornographic images of the girl. Similar images were also found on his hard drive.
This is not Sims first run-in with the law; he was previously convicted of second-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a child in 1997.
