(BLAINE) – A bill at the statehouse would rename part of a road in Washington County for the Blaine man killed while working at a prison last year.
45-year-old Joseph Gomm was a guard at the state prison in Stillwater when an inmate attacked him last June.
House Bill 58 would rename a portion of Highway 95 south of Stillwater after Gomm.
The bill currently has to pass one more committee before it makes it to a vote on the house floor.
