(BLAINE) – Blaine Police say two people ripped off the Salvation Army in a daring daylight robbery.
It happened Tuesday, December 4 outside the Northtown Cub Foods. In a surveillance video provided by Blaine Police, two people approached an unattended Salvation Army donations kettle, cut it down apparently using bolt cutters, and ran off with it. Police also provided an image from a different camera that shows a light-colored or silver Chevrolet SUV in the store parking lot.
Police do not know how much money was in the kettle when the pair stole it. Officers will charge them both with multiple charges, including at least one felony.
Anyone with information should contact Blaine Police Department.
