BLAINE, Minn. – (Nov. 30, 2017) – The city of Blaine is gearing up for the winter plow season and would like to remind residents that trash carts and basketball hoops should not be placed on the street. Instead, they should be placed in the cleared driveway and trash should be placed two feet behind the curb on pick up days.
This allows snowplows and sweeping crews to clean streets from the curb. The city also wants to make sure residents are using the correct edge markers for their properties. The best edge markers are lightweight fiberglass poles or aluminum driveway marker with reflectors.
If you are in need of a property marker, you can pick one up at the Blaine Public Works facility between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
