BLAINE – Fees are going up for non-residents who visit Blaine’s Lakeside Commons Park. With other beaches and pools closed this year, the city says there’s been an increase in the number of beach-goers here. That’s raised costs for the city for things like maintenance, sanitation and security. Higher user fees will help pay the added cost.
The council voted to raise the daily fee for non-residents to $10 a day, and an annual permit rises to $30.
The beach is still free for Blaine city residents.
