BLAINE, Minn. – (Dec. 3, 2015) – A junior at Blaine High School has skated her way onto the U.S. national team. Emily Brown, a captain for the Blaine girls hockey team, has been selected as a member of the U.S. Women’s Under-18 Select Team.
Brown joins 15 other Minnesotans as well as players from six other states on the 22-player roster.
Brown has won several awards already in her high school career including 2013-2014 all conference, 2013-2014 defensive MVP, and 2013-2014 rookie of the year.
Brown and her teammates will compete at the 2016 International Ice Hockey Federation Under-18 Team Women’s World Championship in Ontario, Canada in January.
Brown has verbally committed to play college hockey for the University of Minnesota.
