MINNEAPOLIS – (June 21, 2018) – A Blaine woman was accused of killing two people Friday when she crashed a van into another car in North Minneapolis.
Michele Anne Reimann, 47, was charged Monday with two counts of criminal vehicular homicide and one count of criminal vehicular operation. According to the criminal complaint, Reimann and two other women went to a convenience store on the 2600 block of West Broadway after drinking alcohol and using crack cocaine.
One of the women went inside to make a purchase, and Reimann took the keys and drove off at high speeds with the other woman still in the van. She later crashed into a parked car and a pair of utility poles in an alley north of Lowry, killing the passenger, and one man who had gotten out of the parked car.
Another man in the parked car was also injured. Reimann admitted to using cocaine and drinking alcohol but denied driving the vehicle.
