(BLAINE) – A woman hit by what police say may have been a man who was driving drunk died Friday morning at the hospital.
Blaine Police say a car hit the 52-year-old woman near the intersection of Naples Street NE and Lake Drive NE between 35W and the city of Lexington.
She was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.
Police found a 42-year-old Circle Pines man at the scene, who they believe was the driver responsible, and officers say was possibly under the influence of alcohol. He was taken to Anoka County Jail and is booked but charges of criminal vehicular homicide are still pending.
