LINO LAKES, Minn. – (Jan. 21, 2016) – A fifth grade classroom at Blue Heron Elementary School is working to help make a difference in countries around the world.
The students in Mr. Gutbrod’s class have teamed up with the Circle-Lex Lions Club to collect used eyeglasses. The glasses that otherwise may have made their way to a landfill will be sent to developing countries through the Lions Club’s vision programs.
The project will be going on until the end of the school year. Donations can be dropped off at the school or mailed to the school at:
