COON RAPIDS, Minn. – (June 15, 2017) – With the arrival of summer, Bunker Beach Water Park opened last week and will remain open everyday until September. It is the largest outdoor water park in Minnesota covering nine acres.
Tony Portesan, the water park manager introduces the activities they offer: “The features here at Bunker Beach; we have a large wave pool, that’s probably our main attraction.”
“We also have 6 water slides, we have two body slides, we have four tube slides, then we have a 900-foot lazy river, we have an activity pool, which is called rocky bay, it has two aqua climbs, rock climbing walls, and basketball hoops too, and we also have our zero depth adventure pool for younger kids.”
Located inside Bunker Hills Regional Park, the backdrop for the water park is a scenic wooded setting. Visitors feel like they are at an up north resort when they are really just minutes away from home. Tony also says: “There’s a little bit something for everyone, we have a wave pool for those who like a little more adventure, we have lazy river for a little bit more relaxed time here.”
