Caleb VanArragon just wrapped up a successful college career and now has his sights set on some lofty goals.
This North Metro product left Valparaiso University in Indiana recently as the most decorated golfer in school history. Then, just days later VanArragon won the Twin Cities Open in his inaugural pro tournament.
“It was a quick turnaround,” VanArragon said. “Pretty chaotic moving out of my dorm at Valpo then getting all the way back here.”
VanArragon cherishes his collegiate days at Valpo.
“I’m just grateful because I had such an amazing time there,” Van Arragon said. “I stayed for all five years. My coaches were amazing. Teammates were amazing.”
Last July, VanArragon received an exemption to play in the 3M Open in his hometown of Blaine.
“That was the most unbelievable experience of my life I would say,” Van Arragon said.
That moment was an incredible snapshot in time. The opportunity to compete against high profile guys on the PGA Tour was invaluable.
