ANDOVER, Minn. (August 29, 2013) – A Cambridge man was killed and a Princeton woman was injured after an SUV traveling northbound on Round Lake Boulevard in Andover abruptly crossed over the center lane and struck another vehicle.
The incident occurred just after 2pm on Monday, August 26. The driver of the SUV was Christina Marie Rockstroh of Princeton; she was transported to Mercy Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and was later released. Gary Ray Christofferson of Cambridge was in the vehicle Rockstroh collided with. Christofferson was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the crash and have not yet determined if Rockstroh was impaired by any substance at the time of the crash. At this time the Sheriff’s Office reports that any potential criminal changes will have to wait until the conclusion of the investigation.
