BLAINE, Minn. – (Aug. 8. 2018) – Monday night smoke poured into the air at the Anoka County Blaine Airport. A hangar caught on fire and was fully involved when SBM crews arrived on site.
Firefighters setup a defensive attack as the roof of the building was collapsing, making entry into the building too dangerous. The contents of the hanger included various vehicles, a boat and a plane.
There were no reported injuries. The investigation into the cause of the fire is expected to take months – due to the unique nature of the building contents and the involvement of insurance investigators.
