(LINO LAKES) – The dominoes have all fallen and the spaces left behind have all been filled.
Tony Cavegn, who finished second in the race for Lino Lakes mayor in November, won a special election for city council on February 11.
The seat he takes over was occupied by Rob Rafferty, who won election for mayor. That seat was vacated by Jeff Reinert, who successfully ran for Anoka County Board of Commissioners following the appointment of Rhonda Sivarajah as county administrator.
Cavegn won with more than 47% of the vote. Second-place was Nathan Vojtech, a member of the city’s charter commission, with 41%. Teresa O’Connell and Donovan McGuire, who had both run in the fall for city office, were a distant third and fourth place, respectively.
