LINO LAKES, Minn. – (March 19, 2015) – The Centennial Fire Relief Association is continuing their battle against the City of Lino Lakes. Early last year, Lino Lakes made the decision to leave the Centennial Fire District, which provides fire services to Lino Lakes, Circle Pines and Centerville. Since then, the Fire Relief Association has been trying to get Lino Lakes to change their mind. There petitioned, and spoke at council meetings, and took their fight to district court, where they lost. This week, they will be bringing their argument to the Minnesota Court of Appeals, where a panel of three judges will determine the future of the Centennial Fire District. The court will issue a decision on the case within 90 days.
