CHAMPLIN, Minn. – (July 16, 2015) – Rebecca Lee Noonan, Champlin Park’s head coach of the girl’s soccer team, has coached and been involved in summer soccer camps in Champlin Park since 2007. Noonan recently appeared in court to face charges of criminal sexual conduct after being accused of having sex with a 13-year-old boy in his own bedroom.
The criminal complaint states that in late summer, early fall of 2014, the 31-year-old Noonan was at the home of the boy while his mother was out and had sexual intercourse with him. Noonan allegedly told him that if he told anyone she would go to prison for a long time and asked him not to tell anyone.
Other coaches will take over her positions while she faces trial.
